Fig Crystal theory[]
I came up with another theory about Fig Crystals. Let me know what you think (even though it's unlikely that anyone is going to actually look here)
Another possible theory is that the Violet Crystal is Anshar's Fig Crystal, and that the Monastery Stone is Belfan's. The Guardians of these crystals could very well be who is presented with it; in this case, the Governance de Magi on Anshar, and the people of the Lost Monastery on Belfan. These crystals also ended in the hands of the greatest intellectuals on the planet at the time, as well as having fallen from the sky, which may mean that the great concentration of mindstuff in one area could have conjured the Fig Crystal from its possible resting place in the Dreamrealm.
The crystal itself, being of the Fig element, has a strong effect on the minds of its chosen protectors: the strong minds of the Annunaki (Governance) would be shifted toward their own thoughts and dreams, heightening their emotions; the weak minds of humans (Lost Monastery) would be driven insane by the vastness of the Dreamrealm.
The Fig Crystal would provide all of the mindstuff that souls use to create minds; without it, souls would have no minds and would have no thoughts or memories. Monsters and the Dreamrealm, being made from the thoughts of minds, would simply disappear. Creatures would be mindless and live only on animal instinct, remembering nothing about the world and thinking nothing of it, either. Imagine a world where everyone and everything is a mindless zombie doing nothing but fulfilling the basic bodily needs.
Although there is no known deity over the Fig element, it is possible that a Fig crystal forms out of necessity along with the Aether crystal, as souls and minds go hand in hand. Either that, or YALORT creates the Fig crystal along with the Aether one.
The size of a Fig Crystal could also be relative to the average intellect of a planet's inhabitants, which is naturally gigantic for Anshar but very small for Belfan. However, the mysterious entity that appears to reside in the Violet Crystal is still unknown.
