These female insects form in and around water, attacking those who get too close. They're seen as a symbol of elegance and beauty amongst many trainers.Bestiary description
In Miasmon, a Cyanymph is an Essent Insectoid/Aquatic monster.
A Cyanymph resembles a insect larva, specifically a damselfly nymph. It has a long and slender segmented body, colored blue and grey with spiracles on each segment. Its head and legs are trimmed with gold highlights. It has large blue eyes and short golden antenna, and three blue plumes on the end of its tail.
Wild Cyanymphs can be encountered in Sunrise Pass. They are always at Level 1. They exclusively use their Default skills and have no stat boosts. Rarely, they will drop a Scintillating Scale or a Chitinous Carapace.
A few Cyanymphs can also be battled in scripted encounters:
- Trainer: Daring Delver Zaffre (Sunrise Pass)
- Level: 2
- Tier 1 Skills: Disorient, Moisten
- Stat Boosts: SPIRIT+1
- Trainer: Flower Child Miracle (Zenith Forest area 2)
- Level: 3
- Tier 1 Skills: Drizzle Spit, Flirt, Static Jolt
- Stat Boosts: VITALITY+1
- Trainer: Flower Child Whisper (Zenith Forest area 2)
- Level: 4
- Tier 1 Skills: Enchant, Moisten, Water Affinity
- Stat Boosts: SPIRIT+1, AGILITY+1
Cyanymphs have high SPIRIT but low POWER and VITALITY. They are susceptible to Air and Earth-elemental attacks.
Cyanymphs have low POWER and VITALITY, but above-average SPIRIT.
Cyanymphs are weak to Air and Earth but resist Water and the moral and spiritual elements.
As an Essent monster, Cyanymphs cannot learn skills through evolution. A newly-cloned Cyanymph will always know its two Default skills. It can use Water, Air and non-elemental attacks. It is able to boost its SPIRIT and enchant itself, and it can lower the POWER, SPIRIT and AGILITY of its foes, confuse them or cause them to flinch.

Obtaining and Evolution
After collecting 100% essence from wild specimens, a Cyanymph can be cloned at a Miasmachine for 20 Syanra. It can be evolved into a Damserulean when it reaches Level 6. It is possible to cancel the evolution, in which case the same evolution will be available at each subsequent levelup. It can also be evolved into a Sirenymph at any time by using a Water Totem on it.
- Its name comes from the colour cyan and "nymph", an insect larva.
