The place where the "falling star" apparently crashed.Encyclopaedia description
The Crash Site is a location in the MARDEK series, located west of the Soothwood, and is where Rohoph's ship crashes after he escapes from Anshar. The main quest in MARDEK Chapter 1: A Fallen Star involves investigating the site, but the location has little involvement in the storyline in MARDEK Chapter 2: A New Hero and MARDEK Chapter 3: Keystones. It is suggested that it would be of major importance at the end of the series, but the series never reached that point.
The Fallen Star (MARDEK Chapter 1: A Fallen Star)
When searching for the Fallen Star, Mardek and Deugan navigate the Soothwood and reach the place where it apparently crashed. They encounter Mugbert, a longtime bully, who claims the crashed ship for himself. The boys manage to defeat Mugbert in a fight and then enter the 'star.' Immediately, a strange ball of light exits the dead body in the back of the ship and enters Mardek, who begins speaking in a different manner. The entity explains that he needs to live in Mardek's body since his old body was destroyed in the crash, and introduces himself as Rohoph. Not wanting to explain more, Mardek and Deugan exit the ship and return to Goznor.
MARDEK Chapter 2: A New Hero
A man called Manfred has decided to make a business from the ship (it's still there). He won't allow Mardek to enter without paying him 1 gold piece. Other than some other tourists, there's nothing of importance in the crash site, and the inside of the ship is inaccessible. After Canonia is invaded by Moric, a sign stops the characters from proceeding towards the ship. There doesn't appear to be anyone past the sign, though.
MARDEK Chapter 3: Keystones
After seeing the second saucer - Moric's Battleship - Manfred has formed a 'Saucer Cult' heralding the appearance of 'Saucer Gods'. He's there in MARDEK Chapter 3: Keystones along with some Saucer Cultists. He doesn't allow Mardek to enter the ship.
