Balthazar is an annunaki and member of the Governance de Magi who controls the Water element. He seems to be a rather intelligent member, and only really respects Anu.

Powers and Abilities

Since he is the water representative of the Governance de Magi, he has powerful water-based abilities and is presumably the most powerful water elemental Annunaki. As he's an annunaki, Balthazar could perform a Soul Transfer on a water-elemental person or a corpse.

Trivia

• 'Balthazar', 'Gaspar' and 'Melchior' are traditionally the names of the three kings (properly known as 'magi') that bring baby Jesus presents in the nativity story of the Bible.
  • Furthermore, these are also the names of the Gurus of Reason, Time and Life respectively in Chrono Trigger, a highly iconic JRPG from the SNES era. Either one of the two groups could be the inspiration for the names of the MARDEK characters.
